Are you proactive, goal-oriented and responsible? Do you want to combine work and studies? If you answered yes, apprenticeship training could be the perfect option for you! At Stadin AO, you can complete any vocational upper secondary qualification or part of one through an apprenticeship.

You can apply for apprenticeship training if you meet the following conditions:

  • you are at least 15 years old
  • you have completed comprehensive school
  • you have a job or run a business
  • you work at least 25 hours per week
  • you receive at least the minimum wage according to the applicable collective agreement (TES).

Apprenticeship training place

The first step towards an apprenticeship training is finding a job. You can start an apprenticeship training in your current job if you want to broaden and deepen your current skills. If you do not yet have a suitable job, you will need to find one that wants to start apprenticeship training with you. The job should be one that allows you to do a wide range of tasks related to your qualification and to learn a new trade through work. If you have your own business, you can sign up for an apprenticeship training as an entrepreneur. Ask the apprenticeship customer service for more information.

If you are in a summer job, part-time job, work trial or wage-subsidised job, ask your employer about the possibility of apprenticeship training. Students at Stadin AO can transfer from daytime education to apprenticeship training, for example for the duration of a summer job, or if the training agreement place offers the student a job. In these cases, the student can complete the degree in apprenticeship training.

When you find an apprenticeship training place or can complete the qualification in your current job, please contact our customer service by phone on +358 9 310 88431 or by email at oppisopimus@hel.fi.
